I have heard that when you turn eighteen your car insurance should start to go down a little bit. I guess it is like you have proved yourself in the first two years of driving and now they believe you are less likely to have an accident. I would think that by the time you turn thirty six then, you should be paying next to nothing but it does not work that way.

I checked out some new car insurance companies online and was surprised to find that they are always trying to get your business so some of them will give you a better rate just for switching to them. After filling in all the information they need like age, what kind of car you have, if you have had any accidents or tickets then they figure what your rate will be and it is all done on the computer.

The last car insurance company that I had, I did everything online. I got my quote, sign up, paid my bills and since I never had any claims, I never spoke to any actual people. It was quite nice actually. I would just rather take care of what I need to and then move on, not sit there and be on the phone all day or drive around town visiting different offices to sign papers.
