I wanted to ask the store owner why he was still using the very old cash register and why he did not take credit and debit cards but I thought that I might offend him. I made a mental note to not shop at this place again unless I had cash. I hardly ever carried cash anymore and had to write them a check for my purchase.

I had seen other stores like this one when I was on vacation that have not yet moved up into the times. I have been using a really good used point of sale equipment company for all of my cash register system things that are the top of the line so it just bothers me when others either have not caught on, or just refuse to grow with the times.

I may go back to the little store and just give the owner the business card for the used pos equipment company that I have been using. This way if he does not know all about the used point of sale equipment company, he will. He may also think that the used pos equipment is just too expensive and that would also explain why he is still using such an old system.
