There were four places that I found locally that sell engagement ring products, and two online. I had been looking for someone who would just sell diamonds all by themselves and then I could put one of them into a setting that my grandmother gave me, where the diamond fell out many years ago and she just never replaced it. It was a gorgeous ring but it was still missing one thing.

Since the places that sell engagement ring products are all very close to my office, I just planned on stopping by them on my way home from work. I took the setting with me to explain to them all what it was that I needed. The one store that did just sell diamonds, all loose, was really the place where I needed to be.

I left the setting with the woman behind the counter after picking out the biggest diamond that I could afford and she promised to have it ready, shined up and in a very nice box for the weekend. I was planning on proposing this Saturday after dinner. If things did not go as expected, the woman at the store that sells diamonds, told me that she would pay me a big sum to buy it.
