I have been having a lot of trouble with my dental implants for the last two weeks. I had them put in last March and they seemed perfect until I bit down on a really hard piece of candy and they seemed to almost come loose. I knew that something was wrong but my family dentist told me that he was sure that everything was fine and he did not need to see me in the office.
So, I figured that the family dentist must be right since he has been working with patients and dental implants for years and I had only had mine for about eight months or so. Yet, I did worry a bit when I went to take a drink of water and tasted some blood in my mouth. I went to the emergency room since my family dentist could not be reached at that late hour.
I gave them my history and explained the whole candy, dental implants and how my family dentist was not worried. They took his name down and about twenty minutes later he was standing in my hospital room ready to check out the problem. Had he just listened to me, neither one of us would have been in the hospital.
