I had found four different sites that sold used poweredge servers, only two of those gave you a guarantee on their products so I did not know if I should just flip a coin and go with one of these or keep searching the internet for a better deal.

We really need the servers to be in by the beginning of next month when we introduce some new products on our site. If the sales go as we think they will, then we are going to need the used servers to be up and running to keep up with it all.

My computer guys still want me to get new servers, because most places that sell new ones will install them also. I am not buying the same brand as I had before, so they are worried that they will have a lot of trouble putting them in before next month.

My only way out of this mess, was to find some good quality used hp servers. I had bought some used proliant servers from a computer store that used to be in town, but closed very recently. They were only in business for about three months and everyone in town bought junk from them as was now paying the price.

The used proliant servers seemed to be too good of a price when I bought them to pass up but now I know why. The owners told me that they had been taken out of a warehouse that only used them for about six months. The local cisco repair company was running a special for their current clients. I had used them once before to purchase some used cisco products to install myself. I was glad that they remembered me and sent me the offer since I was in desperate need of someone to fix the used cisco router that I had put in about six months ago.

This particular used cisco router was not among the products that I got from the cisco repair company though, so I did not feel like they should fix it for free. I had actually found it at a swap meet for twenty dollars lying in the bottom of a dirty box. I am not sure that the people who sold it to me knew what it was since they sold it for so cheap.

When I bragged to the other people in the office about getting such a great deal on the used cisco router, they all laughed and said that it probably would not even last a week. They were obviously wrong and off by five months and three weeks. That is okay, even if the cisco repair company cannot fix it, it lasted long enough for the amount I gave for it.
