Usually two types of configuration are used for used Cisco products at the time of putting them to work. The first one is the traditional configuration for the equipments to work in the given environment. The other one is the back up configuration so that in extreme cases of power failure, overloading and such other problem, it can take the place of original configuration preventing disruption of works.

Configuration of the dial back up through the serial interface you have to specify the conditions under which the back up configuration shall be triggered. Thereafter the dial back up can be configured to the interface of the DDR. It specifies the conditions as well as the destinations for all your dial calls. Serial or the primary interface as it is called may be configured either for the DDR or for the frame relay system. It could even be configured for the X 25 over a lease line. However the task performed in each case by the back up are identical.

Steps to be taken for such configuration are –

· You have to specify the interface. Then it has to be configured accordingly to DDR, Frame Relay, or the X25, as the case may be.

· Get the required knowledge about the configuring and synchronizing serial port.

· Specify the condition of activation of the back up system.

· Configure the primary interface and also the back up interface for the DDR.

Once the configuration is over, most part of your task is accomplished and only left out item would be the Cisco repair if any.

The normal guy who sits on a computer has no idea what a used pseries server would cost. I am sure that he does not even know what a server is. I decided to look into this, when I was asked by my computer nerd buddy if I knew where he could get an iseries server for a really good price.

I had no idea what he was talking about, and told him that my brother was actually selling an iseries server. I only said it, because I did not want to look stupid in front of my girlfriend who was with me at the time. I went back to my dorm and got out the laptop to start studying what servers were.

My mother is always donating things to the local club for boys and girls. She spends about ten hours a week there just helping with the cooking and cleaning. She says that she feels good when she helps them out. I wanted to help out also, but knew that spending time with a bunch of kids did not sound like fun.

I took a tour one day, just to see what I could do for them that would not include many man hours. I noticed in the room where they are supposed to come in and start their homework, they only had two computers. Since there are about a hundred kids usually there, I knew that they needed more.

A friend of mine started a company that sold used dell computers and also used poweredge servers. I remembered the name of the company and got on their website to see what kind of deals they had on the used dell computers. I was shocked at how cheap they were and how many I was going to be able to donate to the club.

When the used dell computers arrived at my house, I called the club director and explained who I was, and what I wanted to do for them. He was very happy and told me that he had seen the exact site with the used poweredge servers and had thought how nice it would be to have the money to buy them for the kids.

When my boss and I found out that we were supposed to be picking out the new servers and the new desktops for the entire office, we did not know where to begin. We knew that no matter what we chose, someone would complain. We thought that we would put it to a vote.

The one that intrigued us the most was an online company that sold used sun desktops that had been refurbished. This would be a way to get the servers we needed.

It was just our luck that the same company that sold the used sun computers also sold used sun servers. We put out another email explaining that if we went with the used sun company, we could also get the new servers that the entire office knew we needed.

The vote was unanimous to purchase the used sun servers and the desktops. After we placed the order, it only took two days for everything we ordered to come in. We set the used sun desktops by everyone’s desk and let them install them themselves. The tech guys came and put in the new servers.

I was looking through some magazines that try and tell you what is in and what is out. I have no idea what would be considered in anymore since I am a stay at home mom who never gets out.

They were saying in the article that if you are going out for a night on the town, then it is in to be wearing something like a glow in the dark bracelet. All of the young fashion trend setters are doing it. You know that when someone tells you that it is cool, you just do it.

I saw some glow glasses in the store, and thought that if glow in the dark bracelets are cool for older people, then the glow glasses would be cool for my kids. They thought that they were awesome. They had to stay up extra late to be able to wear them outside that night. My neighbor kids were also out, and they wanted some glow glasses to wear.

I may not know what is in when it comes to adults, but I can help my kids to be cool with the neighborhood kids. We have since added glow necklaces to our list of cool things that kids can wear.
